In August 2022 the new trailhead kiosk was installed next to the trail between Bellevue Road and the Marblehead Rail Trail junction. When completed, this kiosk will feature a trail map, trail information, and other notices from the Friends of the Swampscott Rail Trail.

The Town’s Rail Trail Design and Construction Advisory Committee (RTDCAC) met in January with trail neighbors to discuss the preliminary plan, discuss construction easements, and record additional comments and concerns. The engineering firm Stantec will now compile the suggestions and changes and present the RTDCAC with an updated plan by early Spring 2019.
