The Swampscott Rail Trail project continues to move forward. The Town’s engineering firm, Stantec, has compiled all of the topographic, wetland, survey, and utility data. This information means that they’re now putting together the preliminary trail alignment and design for the future trail.
The Rail Trail Design & Construction Advisory Committee will be holding neighborhood meetings this spring to review those preliminary designs with the trail neighbors. If you’re a neighbor to the future trail, the Town will be in contact with you in the coming month or so to let you know about the neighborhood meetings.
