On Tuesday, May 9th the Swampscott Finance Committee, the committee charged with advising Town Meeting on the financial impacts of all town meeting articles, voted to support passage of Article 18 (creation of the Rail Trail). On Monday, May 8th the Swampscott Capital Improvement Committee similarly voted to support passage of Article 18. To date the following committees have endorsed passage of Article 18:
